The 30-300 T2.95-3.7 is a high-end zoom with a very large x10 zoom ratio, allowing for very long focal length. It has a optical conception carefully designed to obtain an image of excellent quality that meet the stringent criteria of 4K across the entire zoom range. His aesthetic and round bokeh - due to an 11 blade iris - and its overall sharpness come together to emphasize even more what’s in focus. It keeps the same maximum aperture of T2.95 to the 240mm, then gently slide to T3.7 at maximum focal lenght.
ts mechanical design is robust and fully compatible with all common cinema accessories. The three rings have a large number of phosphorescent markings for precise work.
For short focal lengths, it will be ideally complemented by the 14.5-60mm T2.6, with which it shares its excellent optical design, ensuring perfect image continuity without fearing a loss of sharpness if using another zoom of a different Canon range. Moreover these two lenses have the same front diameter and rings positioned at the same place on the lens body, thereby allowing for a very quick lens change.
