The 15.5-47mm T2.8 is a wide-angle zoom, part of the lightweight and compact range of Canon zooms. With a length of just twenty centimeter for a weight just over 2kg, it will be perfect for shoulder work. It’s also ideal in small spaces due to its short focal length that allows to capture wide shots and a minimum object distance at 1'8 ".
It takes advantage of the excellent optical quality of Canon and consistent aperture throughout the zoom range, with a 11-blade iris for a pleasant out-of-focus feel.
Its mechanical design is robust and fully compatible with all common cinema accessories. The three rings have a large number of phosphorescent markings for precise work.
For long focal lengths, it will be ideally complemented by the 30-105mm T2.8, with whom it shares a similar look, the same maximum aperture and philosophy of lightweight and compact footprint specific to this range.
