As the name suggests, the LightWeight Zoom range has been designed for situations requiring a light zoom retaining all performance and quality of image and design of Arri / Zeiss.
While the first model LWZ 1, has been designed around the lightweight camera ARRI 235, his successor, the LWZ 2 is naturally designed to perfectly accompany the new lightweight digital cameras. Thanks to its interchangeable mount, it can be equipped with an EF mount, making it perfect for DSLR without making the camera bulkier.

The LWZ 2 15.5-40mm has all the optical qualities that are characteristic of Zeiss, with a high contrast, excellent sharpness, very few chromatic aberrations and excellent performance against flares. Its minimum focal length of 15.5mm and small footprint make it well suited for use in confined spaces requiring a wide field of view. Its range of focal length and low weight (barely 2kg) makes it ideal for shoulder or steadicam work.
