More compact than the CP.2 series, the Compact Primes CP.3 from Zeiss cover Full Frame format - 24x36mm and offer an ergonomic consistency over almost the entire series.
The entire set has a front diameter of 95mm and a weight around 800g for more lightness and practicality when shooting. This enables the use of different stabilizing systems like drones, Steadicam or gimbals.
The optical quality of this series, with high contrast and sharpness as well as a treatment against flare, offers excellent image rendition and allows it to be used even in demanding situations.
The mechanical design has been improved with a much smoother and gentler focus barrel allowing precise focus adjustments.
With the eXtended Data technology, the CP.3 series join the /i Technology industry group and add its own extended data algorithms for distortion mapping and shading, allowing to instantly customize and tweak how the lens looks and behaves from the DIT cart.
Thanks to its performance and the fact that its mount is simple to change, able to pass from EF to PL easily, the Compact Prime series is now also used with professional cameras with PL mount, taking advantage of the quality Arri / Zeiss at a reduced cost.
