With its coverage of the full 24x36 format, its ability to be equipped with an EF mount and great mechanical design, the Compact Prime series has revolutionized DSLR video shoot, allowing it to become more professional, providing to the DoP and their assistants the features of a real cine lens.
Its optical quality, with high contrast and sharpness as well as a treatment against flare, worthy of Zeiss reputation, offers excellent image rendition and allows it to be used even in demanding situations. Moreover, its mechanical design meets all the needs of a current professional shoot. Its focus ring allows precise focus adjustement. The "CineStyle" design makes the use of professional cinema accessories possible. Ergonomic consistency over almost the entire series is made for faster lens changes, without the need to adjust accessorizing on each zoom.
Some of the lenses available in the series have the same focal length with special features :
- a 50mm T2.1 Macro;
- a 100mm T2.1 Close Focus;
- 35mm, 50mm and 85mm Super Speed lenses with a maximum aperture of T1.5
Thanks to its performance and the fact that its mount is simple to change, able to pass from EF to PL easily, the Compact Prime series is now also used with professional cameras with PL mount, taking advantage of the quality Arri / Zeiss at a reduced cost.
