The Angénieux Extender x1.4 comes at the rear of the Angénieux Optimo and Optimo Style zoom lenses.

It allows to extend the focal range of the Optimo lenses by 1,4 to obtain tighter shots with minimal light loss (as low as 0.9 stops). It doesn't work with DP Zooms.

The extenders can also be used to expand the rear coverage of the Angénieux zooms. As such, the Optimos and Optimos Style lenses can be used with sensors larger than the Super35 format, like the ALEXA in Open Gate or the RED in 6K FullFrame.
