Alongside its prestigious Summilux-C series, the Leica Summicron-C allows the DoP and their assistants to enjoy the very special look of Leica lenses and their high quality design at a lower price with a maximum aperture of T2.
Even though their optical design is classic, the Summicron-C maintain the typical look of Leica cinema lenses, sharp and soft together, with good resistance to flare and without any distortion or chromatic aberration.
The mechanical design also remains true to Leica requirements, with even lighter more compact lenses than Summilux-C, a length, weight and front diameter almost identical throughout the series and the focus ring as the perfect smoothness that focus puller will appreciate.
The Summicron-C lenses offer an even greater coverage than the Summilux-C series, making them perfect with even larger sensors, such as the RED Weapon.
