The fact that the HK Premier 4K zooms are a bit bulky is justified by their extraordinary brightness with a maximum aperture of T2.0 on short zooms, a High Speed never reached until then in a PL zoom lens of this quality.
Despite this impressive brightness, the optical quality is not left behind. The Prime HK are lenses with a very high resolution and with excellent correction of geometrical distortion. Their internal design specific to Fujinon will keep this high quality throughout the zoom range.
When you don’t need a small camera but the most light you can get, this range is large enough to cover any situation you’ll encounter. Be it when they need a very short or very long focal length, or zooms that can cover most of the usual focal lengths, DoPs can choose the suitable lens. Moreover, they can use all those lenses together without any color grading problem, as these four zooms share the same quality, look and feel.
