The 200mm f/2 is a telephoto part of the L series, with a very high optical and mechanical quality specific to the professional Canon range.
With a maximum aperture of f/2, it will be able to capture very tight shots with shallow depth of field even in low light situations.
In the case of a long focal length, every little movement of the camera will have a very significant impact on the frame, potentially creating blurred images. Like most Canon long lenses, the 200mm integrates a high performance stabilizer that will prevent shaky or blurred picture without the need to reduce the exposure time or use a tripod.
Moreover, it has a detection technology that can automatically disable stabilization when panning, allowing video operator to enjoy a very precise control of its framing without undergoing the automatic compensation of the lens.
It also has the USM technology enabling a fast and quiet autofocus.
